Federal Appeals Court Upholds Law Attacking California Pregnancy Centers

In October the Ninth Circuit Court of appeals upheld a California law that requires pregnancy resource centers to post “clear and conspicuous” signage recommending where clients can obtain an abortion. AB 775, known as the Reproductive FACT Act, became a law in California in 2015.  A clear violation of First Amendment rights, the law dictates the size of the signage and exactly what it should say, putting as many as 150 pregnancy centers as risk of sanctions if they don’t comply.  After the ruling the National Institute of Family and Life Advocates, who challenged the law, tweeted “This battle is far from over.”
